Before You Register in Vendor Link NC

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Your registration status will be sent to your E-mail address within one (1) business day.   If you do not receive an e-mail from us within 2 business days, make sure your e-mail address is valid.   Failure to supply a valid E-mail will result in your removal from the system.
2. A key part of the registration process is selecting the correct Categories and Commodities you want to register to recieve BID notifications.

       For example, if your busniess provides Janitorial/Custodial Services, then you would select
                                                     Category:   "SERVICES (CONTRACTUAL AND CONSULTANT)"
                                                  and
                                                     Commodity:   "910 - BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES".


Take a moment and collect the following information.

Item Needed Purpose
A User ID The setup of a User ID and Password is required.   We suggest that you pick 3 possible User IDs for yourself.     The USER ID you chose MUST contain at least 6 characters, with no spaces or special characters.

A Password Your Password MUST contain at least 6 characters, with no spaces or special characters.
IMPORTANT:  Remember your ID and Password, you'll use it each time you need to change your information or to register for other commodity classes.

A Federal Tax No. Your Federal Tax No. is required.   You will need to enter your 9-digit Federal Tax ID number, with no spaces or special characters (ie. 000000000).     Your Federal Tax No. will NOT be available to the general public.

An E-mail Address A valid E-mail address is required.    Failure to supply a valid E-mail address will delay your registration and in some cases result in a your removal from the system.
Your registration status will be sent to your E-mail address upon successful completion of the vendor registration process.    If you do not receive an e-mail from us within 2 working days, make sure your e-mail address is valid. Failure to supply a valid E-mail will result in your removal from the system.
IPS Categories and Commodities You will need to select which Categories you want to register your business under.    You may want to select multiple categories.     To see a listing of the available Categories and Commodities, go to http://www.pandc.nc.gov/ipsalpha.htm.    Write down the Categories and their Commodities.    Doing this now will speed up this portion of the registration process.
